Globe Trotting

You know what get’s me hyped?? Life.

Life has so much to offer. The beauty, massive different cultural lifestyles, opportunities, relationships, experiences, etc etc. I could go on forever but let’s just leave it at that.

We all have free will by the grace of God. With that, comes many skin-rising choices whether we see them as good or bad they are choices that will direct us to the next destination. Having a personal relationship with Jesus and just believing in His goodness is all about faith. Without faith, it’s nothing. But with the great gift of the Holy Spirit that is provided when declaring your faith in Jesus, provision is available when it comes to needing clarity or direction in that next step.

I used to live my relationship with Jesus in a way of “ok God, where do you want me to go, what do you want me to do?” Expecting that big audible voice to say “Go here, Go there.” Well, in my life, I have not heard Him like that ever, unless I was too in my world… that’s completely off topic, Anywho!

What I am trying to get at is, yes, this life is great! However, it’s not necessarily about our benefit and our happiness. It’s about growing the kingdom of God and to be alive when the world considers us “dead.” Hear me out though, there are times we should be selfish and be focused on our own being to grow more fruitfully each day. I have hardly ever allowed myself to be selfish in that sense and it’s not healthy. Good thing, I have a much better understanding about Jesus and His goodness && about His will and not mine. God gave us free will to do what we want. Despite whether we see it as “good” or “bad”, that choice will still allow us to continue on the path of the Lord’s great will that He has had planned for us since the beginning. I am beyond thrilled to be in this mindset and place in life to take an opportunity that has presented itself and take it by a huge leap of faith. Even though some may disagree with it and some do not see the benefit of it, there will always be learning opportunities, opening and closing doors, etc. Jesus will still provide for me, love me, never leave me and just be with me no matter where I decide to reside. Internationally or domestically, He is there! He is still proud of my decisions despite how awful and selfish they may be to the human eye. I believe since there has been a lot of prayer, seeking and just flat out faith that’s what He really enjoys. The fact is, I am making a leap of faith into the unknown and just truly trusting Him. It’s so challenging, and just simply so life-giving, I obviously could not miss this chance.

So here’s to new adventures, new opportunities, new friends, new doors, closed doors, and just growing my personal relationship with my Heavenly Father!! WOOHOO!

The Bold And Beautiful

Fashion. it’s not about who has the highest career, the highest education, or the most zeros in their bank account. It’s about expression, it’s about creativity and what someone can come up with that may not have been done before, or has been done before but with an incredibly unique twist. Anyone can be good at fashion, if you allow your creative juices to flow, it’s a possibility. It also should be a priority if you want something to come from it because if you aren’t passionate about it, this particular industry can be nothing but nonsense. However that nonsense and pointless career that I’ve heard fashion is, it’s another kind of love for me. It’s another way to express myself because I can hardly draw stick figures and hardly use any beauty products right, textures, patterns, colors make me weak in the knees.

It gives me a sense of power and boldness when I put something together that I have not seen done before and or is not too popular because what I think is beautiful, can be completely utterly horrifying in someone else’s eyes. It all comes down to perspective and of course that cliché quote: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. You don’t need to be a millionaire or be even close to wealthy, you just need to know how to pair items together even if they’ve been in your closet for years. Yes, size is questionable and you maybe need to go purchase a few others pieces but in the end you can live off having a small wardrobe size and not needing to shop for a new wardrobe ever new season.

I love the fashion world because it is constantly changing and there is so much competition in the air it’s basically another form of oxygen. If you have a passion for something whether it will take you somewhere or not, if you really have a true passion for a dream, you’ll keep doing it no matter what and hey you never know, something just could happen without you even knowing but it’s always nice to be doing something that makes you smile and never gets old.

What is your passion? Why and what are you doing to keep at it? Comment down below and let me know (:

Dress Outside The Box

What defines fashion? What makes fashion?

Google says:

“ a popular or the latest style of clothing, hair, decoration, or behavior. “

I agree with that definition to a certain extent. Yes, fashion is about the latest trends of whatever season or year it may be. However, fashion and style are completely two different things. You could buy the most expensive trendsetting outfit of the season but have no style. I have stumbled upon other bloggers and people who consider themselves “fashion gurus”, they always are up to date with the latest trends and what’s hot but when it comes to styling, you’d think the advice they give would match up to what they say. Side note: We all should take our own advice but we ALL know that’s not always the case.

I’m going to be honest. I don’t keep up with the latest trends; obsess about what is the next hot outfit or style because my definition of fashion is not about what’s hot. Fashion is about being different; it’s about expressing who you are in a creative sense by styling, letting your outfit speak the thousand words you don’t have to say. Why would you need to stay up to trend, wear what every other girl is wearing and look exactly the same? Fashion is about standing out; it’s about being loud and again expressing how you feel. That’s why I love it so much. I never went to fashion school (yet), never went to fashion week (only watched it on my laptop live) never made sure I was up to date with trends or anything between those lines because I didn’t want to look like everyone else for a season. Beforehand, when I wanted to be a designer, I did focus on trends only because that was a must but now since I am more leaning towards the styling side of fashion, I think it’s pointless. If it’s not in, it will either be in come the near future or the others are just behind you.

It’s funny because if you asked me when I was little what I wanted to do, I either choose something that had to do with animals or boy “stuff” because I was a HUGE tom-boy believe it or not. I never had any type of fashion influencer in my life growing up and my fashion sense was HORRIBLE. I’m not kidding. I wore a button up butterfly shirt that my mother made me with one of my dad’s ties to be one of the boys. I honestly only had my brain and that was about it. It’s funny how things work out, hopefully with my incredibly bold passion for fashion, it will become a jobby one day. Aka. Job and hobby.

I love everything about fashion; I don’t think having a job in that specific industry would ever get old. I love helping people feel more confident about what they’re wearing and just styling people in general. It’s constantly changing and it helps my creative side become more creative. Fashion is not about a price tag, it’s not about having the latest designer wear, its about how you put what with what and having a splash of your style twisted all around it.

Be bold. Be loud. Be you. Dress outside the box

Appreciation

I’ve been blogging for over 10 plus months. Never would I ever think I’d continue or even have as much feedback as I do. I want to let you all know my appreciation towards YOU and taking your time out to read my posts and provide feedback. It’s so fun to connect with others, especially being over seas, how you still can connect with people from the states or anywhere else around the world for that matter; technology blows my mind.

Blogging has helped me heaps with being able to stand up for what I believe in, speak about what I am passionate about and help me out with my writing skills (which I failed in high school). I never thought that would be the case but hey, who knew?

What I also love about blogging is that, it provides a gateway to express what you feel, engaging with you all and your opinions, I love to hear what you have to say and only hope for more to come. Everyone deserves to be heard and I am all ears. That being said, to whom this may concern: I do have great joy when I engage with my followers but would love to engage that much more since I am becoming more passionate about this hobby, hopefully it becomes a jobby one day. If you ever want to talk about something, need advice, have my opinion on something, have me do a review or even just want to say hello, please, by all means let me know! Again, your voice matters and I want to know your thoughts as well, don’t be shy, ask away!
