Ribbed Babe

Ah, suns out. Wait it’s still freezing… what the heck? Oh yeah, that’s spring time for ya in Auckland, unfortunately. However, with season change that means the swimmers are making an appearance as well as summer fashion. EEP!! It’s been a good while since I have had some vitamin D and my anticipation is at a high right now. These swimmers are testing me mate.

Anywho, let’s chat about what’s really important. Swimmers!! If you’re like me, petite with a bit more bust and bum, it’s quite hard to find a swimsuit that fits you properly. So if I ever stumble upon one, no matter the season, I snatch that puppy hot and quick. It’s basically finding a diamond in the rough. I found this adorable one piece from that new fav store I mentioned before, Glassons. They have a great swim line right now and not to mention the pieces are affordable as.

#Winning.

This piece is actually versatile surprisingly, but you know me and versatility. It makes me weak in the knees. I already had in mind to wear this even if I’m not submerging myself in the ocean because it’s that adorable. I’m a sucker for ribbed fabric and low backs. There’s something about a low back that is sexy with a touch of innocence.

We also cannot forget, that being at the ocean and the sun beaming out, sunnies are a must. I am also a sucker for sunnies. Designer, to cheap fun shades, I am all about that suns life.

I purchased both of these from a store here in Auckland. They were both 29$ and exactly what I’ve been looking for. I used to drool over those massive bug eye sunnies but now I am on the trendy train with circular and or shades that pop right half way on the bridge of your nose. Something very chic and mysterious about seeing the tops of your eyelids but not your full eye. Ugh.

FUN FACT: If you struggle with height, wearing a high cut one piece provides more extension to the legs, thus you are instantly taller. Also, purchasing patterns that go horizontally to provide more length in the torso which is flattering with a high cut hip.

Own It

No, I do not have broken arms and yes, my shirt is on backwards but that’s fashion right? Weird stuff, HA. HA. A few years ago, I stumbled upon a photo on Tumblr and became very inspired to try this look! However, I cannot show you the original photo since I never was able to find it ever again… but anyway.

Sometimes, it feels goofy wearing this specific style blouse, and you get those “what the heck looks” but own girl, OWN IT.

This look is so chic!! It’s fun because it’s not your typical blouse, so it spices up that full button up blouse you only know how to wear one-way. Adding a bold necklace can also add heaps of creativity to this whole “new-way” outfit.

You’re welcome, in a “Sadie Saxton voice”!!

Booty Poppin’

Jeans. They can be a pain, no matter your size or shape. However, when it comes to jean shopping for myself, it’s usually a 99.9% miss. In this rare moment of occasion I happen to come across this adorable booty poppin’, leg struttin’ jeans that compliment every curve and bump on the body. Not to mention the texture of these jeans, they’re finally DENIM! Not stretch for thanksgiving meal days, or sweat material, they’re D-E-N-I-M.

After realizing how flattering they were I could not pass these babies up. They are everything I want in a jean right now.

  • Black
  • Front buttons
  • Frayed bottoms
  • Skinny

Let’s just take a moment… … … … … … …

Ok,

I am on the train right now for frayed pants and have been for quite sometime and by sometime I mean I could not find any well-fitting jeans with frayed bottoms, so I began to DIY all my pants because I was so intrigued with this look. It compliments my style much more. Quite edgy, dark, character, etc. I love it!

I am over the perfect cut style or folding the bottoms, It’s a little to clean for my taste. So, damaged jeans are in full swing right now. Thank you fashion and Free People for making this beautiful decision.

This particular style also comes in a variety of colours. I highly recommend you checking them out, here.

These jeans in particular are honestly the most comfortable pair  I’ve ever squeezed into. The denim is soft, they have a good enough stretch and they can be paired with ANYTHING. Oh, not to mention, the price for being Free People is killer- $80. EIGHTY DOLLARS friend. I was taken at the front button but I definitely knew I could not pass up these jeans with the price.

Kiss clean-cut goodbye and welcome the near year with some rad new edginess to your style. It speaks numbers without needing to accessories your body head to toe.

Sunday Funday

Pre PS: This is 3rd day hair, but buns are my new best friend lately.

Anyway…

Sunday’s are for Farmers Markets, some good ol’ praisin’ Jesus and being absolutely COMFORTABLE.

Sweater weather is officially on and I am obsessed. From Cashmere to Poly’s, you can never go wrong either way but the one thing you need to have for at least one sweater is that go-to soft and I mean soft sweater. Paige Boutique offers multiple fantastic options for any kind of occasion sweater. Dressy to comfort you will never be failed. This particular brand is NYTT and this one in particular has to be THE comfiest one I own and it’s not even cashmere, surprised? Me too!!

Jeans weren’t my thing today and the weather was fabulous on this glorious Sunday, so I decided to show off my vampire legs and wear my Olive stretch skirt from CottonOnIf you read my last blog you’ll understand my Olive color obsession (;

When it comes to shoes, you can do honestly anything with this outfit. However, me being me needing and wanting those extra inches I decided to suck it up and wear my go-to booties I picked up during my travels in Straya’- Australia. They’re FAB! So comfortable and SO versatile. Also, going a long with the trends, I added my choker to this outfit to give it a little edgy-punk look. Fabrik Denver boutique has a good handful of these babies in every style, so options are endless for you. Then, tying the whole outfit together I lately I’ve been enjoying the minimalistic look for jewellery. Having my hair being up, I stuck to my ear crawlers to draw less attention to my candy and rather focus on the clothes more. Less is more my friend!

Overall, Sundays are all about comfort for me if I am needed to go out for the day, otherwise I would be in sweats in a oversized T. Apparently you can’t win every time though!

Happy Sunday Ya’ll!

Lots Of Love,
