Hey there! Long time no read, sorry about that. Lately I’ve been super caught up with life and transitioning so haven’t been keen to write, until now. Today was a rainy day for me and usually on these day’s they’re more laid back for me. It was about lunch time thus I need to find food stat. Out of all things, I was really craving a cheese toasty! But instead of your proper cheese toasty, I decided to remix it and create a new version for my more savoury palate friends out there. It’s fantastic and quite the adult version of a proper cheesy.
- Grain Bread (Trader Joes)
- Coconut oil (Trader Joes)
- Marmite (World Market)
- Edamame hummus (Trader Joes)
- Gouda (Trader Joes)
- Sriracha optional (Trader Joes)
Instead of butter, you’ll be applying the outside pieces with C. oil. Then on the inside of both pieces, lightly spread some marmite on one piece and smear on Edamame hummus on the other. Once you’re all through with your dressings, add on 1-1.5 slices of gouda cheese (it’s a little more potent than regular cheese). Depending on how cooked you like your bread, each side cook on low heat for about 4-5 min for brown and 2-3 for golden brown. Once that’s all melted and warm, ENJOY!
OPTIONAL: too add a more of a kick, dip your toasty in some Sriracha.
