Christmas is right around the corner, can you believe that? I am going to let you in on a secret to save you hundreds of dollars. This gift could be used for a daughter, girlfriend, friend, boyfriend, grandma or yourself. Ever heard of; Michael Kors, Givenchy, Kate Spade, Long champ, Coach, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Kathy Van Zeeland the list goes on and on. So my question is, why do most women and some men feel the need to spend 200 plus dollars on a handbag, wallet, wristlet or cross body. Don’t get me wrong I’ve owned a designer bag before and they are practical. However, I’ve been thinking a lot lately on why people feel the need to spend an arm and a leg on a bag… It doesn’t make you a better person, it does make you happy for a second but then you go off the next week or month to buy a new bag. In a sense it’s a waste of your money. You know how many outfits you can buy with purchasing a 1500-dollar purse, A LOT! That’s when materialism gets in the way of life. You have to have the latest and greatest so then people will either accept you or to show off your money. Why does it matter what others think, let us be a little more humble shall we?
The other week I was on Tumblr and came across this bag “My Other Bag is Chanel.” They are so incredibly adorable and completely functional for an everyday use. I did my research to find out where this conventional bag came from. Tara Martin is the creator and founder of “ My Other Bag.” I love her quote she has behind these bags, “ Because every girl needs that other perfect bag.” Which is completely one hundred percent true! They are made in the US, started in Los Angeles and are Eco-conscious, so for all you tree huggers out there, Tara Martin has the perfect bag! Each of the bag consist pictures of a specific designer bag or logo. The price range for these neat adorably chic bags varies from twenty-five to fifty-five dollars. What!! Steal am I right? It can be used for grocery bagging, every day use, Yoga class, diaper bag, school etc. The style for these bags consists of a tote, zipper pouch, over the shoulder and a beauty essential bag. Instead of buying a twelve hundred-dollar designer bag, look up http://www.myotherbag.com and find yourself a chic, eco-friendly “designer bag”, then spend the rest on buying that adorable outfit you wanted, that flight you wanted to take for relaxation or other Christmas gifts. Try to remove materialism from your mind and just realize that yes, the more you spend the better quality. However, that does not mean spending your down payment you had for a house on a handbag, come on that’s just silly! Cost and worth are very different things. Hoping I could help a little and I am sure your wallet will thank you. Happy Holidays (:
